Discover Skwal

Our mission: introducing you to skwal riding!

First of all, let’s debunk some myths! Skwal is a highly accessible sport for all skiers, even children. The face-forward position on the board, the use of poles, and equipment tailored to riders’ technical levels make it easy to learn. During most of our introductory sessions, we have observed that skiers only need 1 to 5 runs to start linking turns.

There are many ways to get started with skwal or rediscover it:

  • Ambassadors: They are available to introduce you to skwal near you and have boards available to lend. Contact them for a personalized lesson or to organize a discovery event at your resort. You can find the list of ambassadors here.
  • Test events: The easiest way to try skwal is to attend a skwal equipment test event. Find the tent at the snowfront, and you’re ready to go! Our ambassadors will welcome you and guide you through the basics, and then you can continue riding on the equipment for the rest of the day. It’s also a great opportunity to try different board models. These events are organized by the association or its partners. The schedule for the main events of the season is available here.
  • Rider gatherings: If you’ve already tried skwal and want to improve, take advantage of the rider network! Gatherings are organized by the Skwal Riders association or through riders on social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Skwal hotline: I want to try skwal! But I don’t know how to get started, or I couldn’t find the information here. Leave a message on the Skwal Hotline: +33.7.821.820.83. We’ll try to find a way!
